This was the junction for Dumfries Goods. It was located on the slow lines between Pleasance Junction to the west and Noblehill Junction east. Approach was from the east.
To the west the slow lines formed the Up reception siding and Down departure siding. To the east were the Up departure siding, hehunt approached from the goods yardDown reception, and Eastfield siding. A al box, dating fromwas on th south side of the junction.
This became Dumfries No 3 box when the Dumfries boxes were ed. The box closed induring the realling which ultimately led to Dumfries Station box in and Dumfries South at Noblehill Junction in A ground frame replaced the box.
A minimal version of the goods yard and junction remain today. Toggle.
